Landmark Moments For Your Baby's Growth

Becoming a parent is an experience filled with adventure. Most first time parents do not realise that newborn babies grow almost on a daily basis. Your baby's growth may surprise you every day! So be prepared so that you don't miss any of the landmark moments in your baby's growth cycle.

You don't have to keep looking at your baby through the camera all the time for the fear of missing anything. We will give you complete list of all the important moments in your baby's life. We will also give you a rough idea of when to expect these 'baby moments'. There is a long list of 'firsts' in your baby's growth. So you need to a keep track of the most important ones.

Every child grows at its own pace. But keeping some growth standards in mind, we can give you an approximate idea of when your baby's moment of walking, talking or smiling will occur. By the time your baby is 6 to 8 weeks old, you will hear it gurgle for the first time. Gurgling is one of the first sounds made by your baby apart from crying.

First Kick

You may have felt your baby's first kicks when it was still in your womb. But after birth, your baby's legs get strong enough to kick at about 3 months. The baby can also use its legs to move horizontally on the bed.

When you baby starts rolling over on its stomach, you need to start getting watchful. Babies often roll over and fall from the bed by the time they are 4-5 months old.

In between 5 to 6 months, your baby will start sitting upright with some support. In some cases, your little one might sit up abruptly without any support too!

Crawling

The most beautiful moment in your baby's growth is probably the time it starts crawling. This will happen when your baby is around 6 months old. It is very difficult to watch over a crawling baby so be prepared.

After your baby completes 7 to 8 months, it starts picking up language. The baby will learn to call its parents 'mama' or 'dada' in its own baby language.

Your baby can start raising itself on its two legs by the time it is 8 months old. This is about the time you buy your baby a walker to strengthen its legs.

Your baby takes its first steps at the age of 9 months to 1 year. Some babies take longer to walk. But whenever that moment comes in your baby's life, you must be prepared with a camera.
