Sushmita Sen: Showstopper At IIJW 2012

The 3rd edition of India International Jewellery Week is a grand success due to the great enthusiasm and outstanding performance by the designers and participants from the jewellery fraternity.

Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas unveiled their new range of contemporary jewellery ‘Aranya' at the ongoing India International Jewellery Week 2012. A divine arena of a forest was created in the atmosphere through the 3D projection. This was perfectly complemented by the wispy aroma of nature, which is essentially the theme of Aranya collection.

The audience was left spell bound by the mesmerizing jewellery. The show featured signature pieces from the new collection named "Aranya" which included uncut diamonds, flat cut diamonds and colored precious gemstones influenced by the contemporary designs of animal and floral patterns. All the designs were unique in their own style and texture. The main essence of the collection is felt in the bold use of vibrant colors and gemstones in order to develop designs representing the true aura of wildlife.

The showstopper for the evening was the gorgeous Sushmita Sen, in her charismatic black attire. She walked the ramp with Creative Director, Mr. Yash Agarwal, wearing dazzling jewellery from the Aranya collection. She looked absolutely stunning with the exquisite bracelet around her wrist adorned with elephant motif. "Aranya is symbolic of the compassion and love I feel for the nature's most beautiful gift to us that is animals. It is my tribute to nature and a message for the society to 'Love and Save Animals' and not destroy the lovely gift of God", said Mr. Yash Agarwal.
