Orestes Estevez & His Family Do This...
Orestes Estevez and his family, who reside in Cuba, are known to fill glass jugs with grapes, ginger and hibiscus. Instead of covering the lid, they slip a condom over each of the glass necks. This is the unusual process of wine-making in a land famed for rum!
It's A Flourishing Business Currently…
This unique winery has become a flourishing business for him. All thanks to the annual produce that lasts in thousands of gallons of wine flavoured with guava, watercress and beets!
The Condoms Slowly Inflate
The condoms slowly inflate as the fruity mix ferments and produces gases. This is a good way to keep a track on when the wine is ready!
How The Best Wine Is Judged...
According to the experts, the condom stops inflating and falls when the fermentation is over, as there is no gas left in the jar and the wine is then ready for bottling.
Making Wine Is A Long Process
Apparently, it takes a month to 45 days to produce a jar of wine, after which it is bottled and sold for consumption in homes and restaurants!
