Prediction #1

According to a leading newspaper, people claimed that, "A rocket will never be able to leave the Earth's atmosphere!" This was told in the year 1936.

Prediction #2

"Two years from now, spam will be solved." This was told by Bill Gates at the World Economic Forum in the year 2004.

Prediction #3

"There would never be a bigger plane built", A Boeing engineer had claimed after the first flight of the 247. It was twin engine plane that could hold upto just 10 people!

Prediction #4

"The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a novelty - a fad." This was told by the President of the Michigan Savings Bank, while advising Henry Ford's lawyer not to invest in the Ford Motor Company in the year 1903.

Prediction #5

"Television won't be able to hold on to any market it captures after the first six months. People will soon get tired of staring at a plywood box every night." This prediction was made by Darryl Zanuck in 1946.

Prediction #6

"Before man reaches the moon, your mail will be delivered within hours from New York to Australia by guided missiles. We stand on the threshold of rocket mail." This statement was told by US Postmaster General Arthur Summerfield in the year 1959. We still wondering what made him say that!

Prediction #7

"There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home." This was told by the Founder of Digital Equipment Corp Ken Olsen during a speech in 1977.

Prediction #8

"Cellular phones will absolutely not replace local wire systems." This statement was told by Inventor Marty Cooper in the year 1981! We sure there would hardly be any person who has not had a cellphone these days!
