10 Hilarious Lines From All Indian Mothers

We love our moms. For all the daughters mothers are their first friend who grow to be their best friend with time. And for sons their first love. We all have that special place for our mothers which nobody can ever replace.

We always know that a mother can never say a 'no' to us. Neither can she see us hurt nor will she ever feel good about scolding us. A mother will always be the first and last face we see as the face of God.

She will always eat less to fill her children's stomach and never fight for the last piece of cake. She will sometimes even save from her budget and get the things we want...

...and sometimes turn to be the only person who can make us laugh. And by laugh I mean roll on the floor laughing or laugh thinking about the things she usually says that at most times makes no sense to us.

Let's check out the top 10 things that specially Indian moms tell their children that will make you either think hard or drop down laughing.

1. Parai Ya Bahar?

1. Parai Ya Bahar?

"Kitni zyada padhai karta hai mera beta, beta bahar bhi ho aa, fresh hawa bhi zaruri hai"
Meaning, "my son studies a lot, son, you should go out and get some fresh air too."
Mothers always say this line, when you sit down and study for more than 2 hours and then when you finally decide to listen to her and go out, the first thing you hear is, "abey kitna bahar jayega? Din bhar ghumta rehta hai, kabhi kabhi keetab bhi khol liya karr, nalayak".

2. Blame It On The Phones

2. Blame It On The Phones

You own a phone? Never tell your mom you have a headache. Because all she'll say is "Yeh sab mobile phone ki galti hai, din bhar lage reh tu whatsapp or facebook par nalayak". But the actual truth is, they get us mobile phones so they can reach us anytime and later blame all the mishaps that happen to the child to the phone.

3. The Obvious Doubt

3. The Obvious Doubt

When a daughter is going to the college first thing then all you hear is "arey wah meri beti kitni sundar lag rahi hai, college hi jaa rahi ho ya kahin bahar ka plan hai ?"

4. Roti Shoti

4. Roti Shoti

When a daughter reaches the age of marriage and she cannot make the chapattis round you will hear, "roti gol nahi hui toh ladka kaisey milega?" Someone please explain it to me someone, what is the relation between a round roti and a groom (confused look)!

5. Lazy Bum

5. Lazy Bum

If you sleep too much you hear "sotey reh, sotey reh, aadhi zindagi beet gayi soney mein". And if by fluke you get up early you hear, "uth gaya mera raja beta, nawab zadey aaj kuch special hai kya ?"

6. Khushi Ke Aasu

6. Khushi Ke Aasu

Indian mothers are the only mothers in the world who will cry when their children are leaving home and also when their children are back home. Some of us are still trying to figure out which one is the actual "khushi ke aasu".

7. Insecurities

7. Insecurities

The insecurities we have now is actually also their fault. Indian mothers teach us not to trust 99.9% of the crowd. You tell you want to go out for a walk, she will tell you to keep an eye on every passerby, you are travelling more than one hour further from home, she will tell you not to eat anything from anyone and pack a suitcase full of food, just in case.

8. The Sarcasm Game

8. The Sarcasm Game

Indian moms are the reason we learn how to be sarcastic. You tell your mother you have a sleepover, she will remain calm, calm as a sea before a storm and suggest you take some money from her, you can also take the car if you want and why a day, you could stay your whole life at your friends place. WOW, how I wish!

9. Phone Call Alert

9. Phone Call Alert

The doubt factor! She will keep an eye on every call you get or make and ponder about whom you talk over the phone whole day.

10. The Final Deal Act

10. The Final Deal Act

The best one is when she says, "Is saal aur padhai kar lo beta, phir uske baad to poori zindagi araam." The line we hear every day of our school lives but never ever get to experience.

Not stereotyping any mom from any ethnicity but that is what we all grew up with. Isn't it?
