Skirts Flooded The Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Runway!

Lakme Fashion Week 2015 was one hell of a fashion ride for the avid fashionistas. From boho, to retro and authentic lehenga cholis to skirts, colottes to dhotis every bit of fashion attire was played with. And to audiences' eyes, they were played darn well.

"We were emerging from the period of war, of uniforms, of women-soldiers built like boxers. I drew women-flowers, soft shoulders, fine waists like Liana and wide skirts like corolla."- Christian Dior.

As Christian Dior talks about soft shoulders and fine waistlines, Lakme Fashion Week was one such platform where we could see the different hues of a simple skirt. Yes, of course, eccentric skirts are our love at the moment. Yet, LFW 2015 brought out another dimension of eccentricity and elegance.

Masaba's skirts were gorgeous. In fact, her whole collection was out of the box. She played well with colours and brought the sunshine to the ramp. She teamed up the skirts with the iconic head turban which is also a perfect combo for this summer.

One particular skirt assemble by Ujjawal Dubey from his collection "Antar-Agni" caught our eyes. It brought out this subtleness to the eyes with its toned down colour and the way it flowed like water, hugging the wearer, was beautiful.

DRVV's exhibited a really commercial, everyday wearable skirts and dresses. These earthly coloured designs were a total 'yes' for any day. The collection mastered the art of fabric accessory with all its fold and zips teamed up. One shouldered collar skirts are a definite head turner.

Sailex brought forward the regular floral print in a very soothing summer wear. His skirts were of such wearable designs and probably his shelf of skirts, is already all booked. The flowing design as well as the material was something which can make a wearer feel naked comfortable.

Going a little more traditional bohemian, Deepika Govind's collection was gorgeous. The colour blocked skirts and aztec printed attires are going to be every college going girls favourite this summer.

Miss Bennett collection was so chic. The skirts and dresses were such pretty that anyone would have it as their first choice be it college, a date or a brunch your girlfriends. They had very minimal prints and were of single colour making it everyones favourite.

Ken Ferns skirts were hardcore print based designs. They were colourful and all geared up to welcome spring. Teamed up with cut out crop-tops and poncho styled shrugs, they were amazing. The translucent hues of the attire made it more appealing.

Aarti Vijay Gupta exhibited her collection in the Lakme Fashion Week 2015. Her collection was morenature oriented, animals being the dominant factor. The skirts were printed with such beautiful fauna prints making it the 'it thing' for the street style lovers.
