17 Things That Will Make The 90's Indian Kid Feel Nostalgic
Ever feel nostalgic after thinking about the past? Naturally we all do, from time to time. If you were born in the late 80's or the early 90's you probably do a lot more, as you are experiencing it right now. Times were different back then. You didn't have a smart phone to distract you or a need to constantly stay in touch to feel togetherness. We earned a lifetime worth of memories, just before technology took over.
10 Reasons Why Friends From School Are The Greatest
Check out the list, as we bring you some of the things that will make you feel pretty nostalgic.
China Pen And Reynolds
If you're a 90's Indian kid, you'll definitely know a China pen. Remember daddy explaining how to fill ink into a China pen. Seemed like rocket science! We bet you remember the Reynolds ball point pen too. An entire generation penned their thoughts, took down notes and braved through their exams with it. Nowadays it has ended up being one of the many choices.

Kismi Toffee Bar And Other Goodies
Remember that chocolate with a naughty name? Yes, we are indeed speaking about Kismi toffee bar! The elaichi taste still lingers on our tongue years later. You would of course remember Big Babol and Boomer. Though they do exist even today but it started during our times and we used to get tattoos with them.
Pepsi
No, we're not speaking about the aerated drink. We are speaking about those ice candies available in various colours, wrapped in plastic packets. These goodies were available for 50ps and 1Re. It was such a relief in those bright sunny days, when all we could afford with our pocket money was a pepsi.
Video Games
Brick games were such a craze in the late nineties, almost every kid owned a video game. The crazy sounds it used to make was music to your ears. Each time you played, it was to create a new high score. Even then we had cheat codes! Crazy times huh?
Trump Cards
A game mostly played by the guys, trump cards is, as the name suggests, a card game. Mostly it had WWF [now WWE] wrestling characters and their body stats. You try trumping over your friends with a higher stat. Fun game which the 90's Indian kid can easily relate to.

Inland Letters
Its quite sad that the art of writing letters is a dying art. Before mobile phones, before widespread use of land line phones, inland letters existed. Remember those times when you were staying apart from your family and your parents used to write to you? A nostalgic feeling creeps in right? We get it.
Goti Or Goli
Did you ever get scoldings for playing with those fabulous, spherical things called goli, goti or marbles? We did too! Goti was blamed by parents as a game responsible for bad handwriting. But that didn't stop us from playing and fighting for each other's goti.
Cassette And Tape Recorder
Mixtape was such an amazing thing. It's a shame this generation will never know the joy of a cassette or a tape recorder. Remember those times when you recorded a song for you friend or that special girl from high school? Good old times.
Family Bicycle
Childhood memories should definitely include the family bicycle. The bicycle on which you learnt cycling for the first time. Mostly the middle class can relate to this beautiful memory.
RX 100
One of the most legendary bikes to ever graze the streets of India, the Yamaha RX 100 was a tremendously noisy machine. But rarely will you find someone who complains about that beast. Its capabilities are well defined and even today it is a dream machine for many. Sadly, they have stopped making these amazing creatures.

Sunday Meant Back-To-Back TV Shows
What made the 90's awesome were also the TV shows. Sunday meant binging on worldwide classics like The Jungle Book and also popular Indian shows such as Chandrakanta and Mahabharatha. The best part was that the whole family was involved in this.

Tinkle And Champak
Agreed that Tinkle and Champak exist even today, but its quite a rarity to see children read those books. Not to make the current generation a cliché, but with the rise of computers reading has indeed taken a beating. Tinkle and Champak featured some of the best stories about morals and good deeds. Not to forget the hilarious jokes section!

Ads Which Were A Class Apart
Your childhood memories should definitely include ads from Cadbury, Bajaj and Dhara. Those ads were so beautiful that even today it takes you on a journey down memory lane. Those were memorable times which will never return.

Hip-hip-hurray and Just Mohobbat are just two tv serials we used as reference. But there were many more amazing serials like Hum Paanch, Byomkesh Bakshi and the foreign import, Small Wonder. If you're a 90's kid we are sure your childhood memories include these tv shows.

Camera rolls
Camera's weren't always digital. You couldn't just delete a picture if you didn't like it. Camera's had roll and they needed to be developed in a studio before you could take peek at your pictures. Remember the awesome sound the camera made after clicking a picture?

Space Impact And Snake game on Nokia
The early 2000's brought us the cellphones. Nokia being the unrivalled king in the field, it was but natural that a Nokia phone was the first mobile we incidentally used. The best part were the games; space impact and snake. A 90's kid would definitely have played those games for hours together. And this was before Google even thought of Android. So battery really wasn't a problem. It used to go on for days together on a single charge.
