Awesome Benefits Of Being A Loner
Who can be a loner in the world today? Must be pretty difficult, thanks to the many social networking sites and ever increasing friend list! But the truth is that many of us have actually become loners. But let us set aside the forced loners and consider the self-imposed loners. What is it that makes a person stay with oneself and not desire the company of others?
A person can become a loner for various reasons. It could be his basic nature; it could be a certain incident in life that drives him more towards himself; it could be the circumstances and conditions he has grown up in; it could be anything.
The basic fact is that this person does not want the company of others nor seeks any kind of assistance from anyone. He is satisfied in his own world.
We are often told that it is important to socialise, to meet people, to know the world and to gain knowledge about the people around us. Amidst all this how can a loner survive in this world? But he can and live happily too as there are some benefits of being a loner. It makes life much more enjoyable for him than others.
Does not care of being judged: One of the pros of being a loner is that you do not care of being judged. Many a times we refrain from doing something because we are too conscious of what the world would say. This keeps us from fulfilling our wishes also. If you are a loner, you will not care about the world’s opinion and do things that satisfy you.
Self-dependent: As a loner, you do not depend upon someone else for anything. If you have to get a job done, you will go ahead and do it yourself. This makes you self-reliant and increases your efficiency too.
Stand up for oneself: Why do we always need someone else to stand up for a cause? If something bothers us, we need to stand up for ourselves. This is exactly what a loner does. It does not matter whether there is someone backing him or not, he is there to stand up for himself.
No compromises: One of the benefits of being a loner is that you do not have to make any compromises. You do not care what others say and hence, you do not have to please anyone. Practically speaking, you can never satisfy anyone and the loner understands this very well.
No pretensions: You know who you are; you stand up for your thoughts and beliefs and do not look for approval. You present your true self to the world. You do not fake being someone you are not. There is no need to pretend being a different person and you remain true to yourself.
Master of oneself: A loner is always his/her own master. You do not act in response to someone else’s actions. You decide what, when, how, why and where you have to do something. There is no one else to be looked at to make a move.
Time to develop oneself: One the most important benefits of being a loner is that it gives time to develop oneself. As a loner, you are master of your own time and decide things for yourself. This gives you all the time to plan your tasks and schedules.
