Schools are very important for the growth and development of children. Schools teach morals, ethics and responsibilities to young girls and boys. But lately schools have been taking some measures that are quite weird and odd.

1.The breast cancer support bracelet – A school in Pennsylvania has reportedly put a ban on the use of bracelets used for the promotion of breast cancer awareness. The bracelet uses the slogan “I love boobies”. The school thinks that the slogan is too indecent for children. Indecent or no, it sure tops our list of weird things schools have banned.

2.The yoga pants – Gym and yoga are now essential classes for children in school. Yoga pants are the most comfortable attire for children in school. But not all schools think the same. A school in Ottawa has banned yoga pants as according to them yoga pants are quite revealing!

3.Bags and sacks – Cool and funky bag packs and book bags are quite a necessity for many children at school. However, the students of a school in Michigan do not need bags at all. This is because the school has put a ban on the use of book bags for avoiding accidents in classrooms and lunchrooms because of the bags. A very weird thing to ban in schools, indeed.

4.Best friends forever? – School is all about making friends. Some schools in the United Kingdom apparently do not accept this concept. These schools have put a ban on BFF necklaces, key chains and on making best friends too. According to the school, it is better to prevent kids from getting hurt later on if there are some quarrels among the best friends. This is quite a weird ban.

5.Abstinence – Some schools have taken an extra step of putting a ban on hugging in school. Sex education is totally fine in schools, but what is wrong with a friendly hug. You never know what weird ban your school is going to put next.

6.Hair cut – Your favourite actor or sports person can get a funky hair cut. But before you try to imitate them, check your school's ‘not to do" ist. Some schools have put a ban on the type of hair cut which are trendy and can easily grab attention. According to them, such haircuts distract students in the class room.

7.Dance songs – Some schools in our country have put a ban on the famous item songs that have become popular today. The reason given is that the songs are not suitable for children and are very indecent. Is it really possible to find a dance number without indecent words these days?

8.Black lips – Here's another weird thing banned in schools. Some schools in America have reportedly put a ban on using black lipsticks or black nail paints.

9.Bakery products – Due to health concerns, some schools have put a ban on selling of bakery products in their annual sale.

10.Jeans – A few schools in our country as well have put a ban on using jeans, especially skinny jeans. Definitely a weird thing to ban by schools!
