6 Signs Of A Loner In A Team
Signs of a loner in an office or a team are very easy to spot. A loner is a person who likes to work by himself or herself. These days ‘team work' has become the keyword for success. So if you have to be successful, you have to work in co-ordination with other people. But loners are never team players. They keep to themselves.
Workplace politics does not favour loners. This is because they cannot usually gang up against other people. However, loners can excel in their work when they are left to be individual contributors. They are also the innovators in work process. History suggests that most creators show signs of loners.

Here are some signs of a loner in a team or office:
You
hate
team
meetings
Team
meetings
are
an
oblivion
to
you.
You
cannot
understand
why
some
people
who
have
nothing
in
common
are
sitting
at
the
same
table
and
solve
a
problem
or
discussing
a
course
of
action
they
can
barely
understand.
You
don't
share
ideas
Every
time
someone
says
‘share
your
ideas'
about
something,
you
cringe.
According
to
you,
sharing
ideas
is
a
deep
violation
of
intellectual
property
rights.
Your
ideas
are
your
own
and
you
cannot
understand
why
you
should
be
compelled
to
share
them
with
other
people.
You
hate
to
share
credits
When
your
boss
says
that
it
was
a
great
‘team
effort',
you
feel
very
disappointed
and
angry.
You
know
you
did
most
of
the
work
so
why
should
you
have
to
share
the
credits
with
this
vague
group
of
people
called
a
‘team'.
It
really
irritates
you
to
share
anything
with
anyone,
especially
credit.
You
don't
eat
with
your
team
You
are
supposed
to
work,
eat
and
pee
with
your
team
in
office.
Most
people
believe
in
having
team
lunches
to
strengthen
the
team
spirit.
But
you
never
like
to
eat
with
your
team.
Usually,
you
do
not
like
to
eat
with
anyone
in
office.
You
spend
the
lunch
hour
thinking
of
your
own
ideas.
You
find
people
less
intelligent
than
you
like
You
do
not
talk
a
lot
to
your
colleagues.
It
is
not
because
you
do
not
like
to
talk
to
people.
But
people
disappoint
you
by
being
less
intelligent
than
they
should
be
by
your
standards.
You
usually
work
more
rather
than
share
responsibility
You
would
rather
work
all
by
yourself
and
end
up
doing
more
work
than
co-ordinating
with
other
people.
You
hate
delegating
your
work
to
other
people
because
most
often
they
don't
do
it
well
enough
by
your
standards.
