If you are constantly stressed about your work or feel as though you don't fit in at the office, perhaps it is time for a change. There are many such signs that indicate that it is time for you to move on and part ways with your sagging career and job.

Motivation, or the lack of it, is the major factor that makes or breaks one's career. Without motivation and passion in your work, there is bound to be dissatisfaction.

But once you start questioning the reason for putting up with your current job, you have set the wheels in motion. Quitting your job is one of the most stressful decisions you can make as many of you define yourselves by your careers.

At the same time toiling away daily at work can adversely affect you both physically, and more importantly, psychologically. But how do you know it's time to quit your job?

Fatigue And Morning Blues
If your alarm goes off and you feel compelled to start sobbing into your pillow, it's seriously time to rethink your job status. Dig deep and look at what's really bothering you: weather it is a specific chunk of tasks you have to accomplish or who you work with or if are you just bored by the monotony. Getting specific about your problem will help you realise the sign that could indicate an imminent change in your job.

The Workplace is Always Stressful
There are myriad ways that the office can come to feel like a war zone. The company could be headed for bankruptcy or the drive to continue posting huge profits could be driving your blood pressure through the roof. Such an environment affects you mentally and physically, and you need to ask yourself if sticking around is worth it. If the answer is no, then perhaps you should consider quitting that job.

You Aren't Learning
Even at your dream job, you should be developing skills. It's funny, but we often stay in a job because of what we think we should be getting out of it, as opposed to what we are actually doing. Take stock of what you are getting out of your job every few months and make sure that you are getting what you thought you signed up for.

Dead End
What are the opportunities for advancement at your job? Are you just waiting around for the guy ahead of you to quit or die? If you answered yes to that, you know it is time for you to quit your job! It is best to move into another organisation that has better growth prospects and opportunities.

You Don't Believe In Your Work
If you're stuck with an organisation whose principles goes against yours, or if you do not believe in the kind of work you do, you probably don't belong there. And worse, you won't be able to do justice to your place in the organisation. It is better to find a job that you're comfortable with than go against your conscience.
