Habits That Only Smokers Share

Smoking is a bad habit as they say. First of all smoking does not do you any good, and it is in no way something that helps you to relax your nerves and makes you feel better, and you would be living in a fool’s paradise to think so. There was in fact a time when one could light a cigarette anywhere, be it at the cinemas, at the railway platform, or any other place.

Now with changing times we have come to realise that smoking not only harms the smoker but also the person who is inhaling that tobacco smoke atmosphere! Therefore, the ban on public smoking.

Now smokers are all alike, they have their own way of living and loving life, and their habits can annoy and irritate someone who is not a smoker! The habits smokers share can be very frustrating to live with indeed.

Smokers’ Meet
Smokers have this annoying habit of huddling up in front of buildings and smoking. You can pretty much see this sight in front of every office building every day! Smokers will gather like it is a holy ritual, thus blocking the path way for cars and pedestrians. Also not to forget they are polluting the environment and making it cancer friendly for fellow humans.

The Ashtray Conundrum
Smokers are always lazy about cleaning their ashtrays, and they think that they can leave a disgusting looking heap of ash and buds to lie on the open. They do not seem to understand that every time the wind blows it carries the ash and gets right into our eyes, and because it is lying like that in the open, therefore it stinks!

Throwing Cigarette Butts
Smokers tend to think that the world is their ashtray. Out of all the habits that smokers share, this has to be one of the most crucially annoying one. Smokers just go on a rampage throwing their cigarette butts everywhere. Cigarette butts are everywhere, anywhere you put your eyes to and you will find one butt there.

Borrowing a Light
Smokers are always asking people for a light so they can light up. What they do not understand is that not everyone is a smoker and not everyone likes carry a match box just for the fun of it. Therefore, this is another very annoying habit that smokers share. Why can’t they simply carry their own light!

Smoking in front of Children
Second hand smoking is very harmful for anyone, and then these smokers will very happily light up in front of children. They should understand that at least 69 chemicals from their cigarettes are known to cause cancer and therefore second hand smoking in front of children is not the right thing to do. Studies have also shown that parents who smoke outside of their home still expose their babies to the evils of cigarette.

Smoking in Public Places
Smoking habits are uncontrollable and therefore smokers do not really care. Even though there are laws against smoking in public places, smokers think it is all right to expose non smokers to cigarette smoke by smoking in public places. The streets are full of smokers!

The habits smokers share are common throughout the world; they can be very annoying and equally dangerous for non smokers.
