Scandals and royalty always go hand in hand. When you are followed 24x7 by prying eyes and camera lenses then it very hard to keep any secrets. And the media has a huge appetite for dirty secrets, especially when it come to royal families. The British royal family has been at the receiving end of many such scandals in the past.

The story actually starts with the colourful Henry VIII of the Tudor dynasty. History remembers Henry VIII for establishing a Church of England that was separate from the Catholic Church. But this British ruler was more famous for having 6 wives and beheading 3 of them. His turbulent love affair with the vivacious Lady Ann Boleyn was probably the beginning of royal scandals in England.
