The sort of dream a cubicle dweller usually sees is of striking a perfect balance between work and personal lives. Interestingly, there's no secret formula to attain this balance but, only those who are yet to attain it know the restricting feeling it gives. The amount of stress this imbalance adds to life can make you sick with worry. A lot of graduates and post graduates, lured by power and position, walk through the gates of multinationals only to be disappointed with a half baked life after sometime.

Never attaining the true success, these people just grind themselves through the routine. Most of you must be using the phrase "Chugging along" to answer the question "How is your work going on?" Even if you don't wish to believe your luck, it's true that most offices and management within these offices tend to ignore the fact that you have a personal life. Working post the working hours has become a norm in today's world. But, the truth is for success to be yours, you need to strike a balance between your professional and personal lives.

Manage personal work lives best by prioritising your life. Nothing works without setting up your priorities. Many times, you think of working along long hours so that you can spend the weekend with your loved ones. But, such plans wither away when office work calls on weekends. Here are some ways to balance work and personal lives. To manage personal work life better, you should spend quality time with family and, schedule your work perfectly. It's not really impossible.

List your Tasks
If only you can follow this method, it will help you strike the balance beautifully. Every morning, when you wake up, list down all the things you need to achieve by the end of the day. Make sure you list tasks for both your personal as well as professional life. This way you will be able to manage personal work lives better.

Prioritise your Day
Listing your tasks will help you plan the day but, to plan your schedule and your free time, you need to prioritise the list. Time the tasks and make a priority list. If something is high priority, it should rank high on your list of tasks. Remember, without prioritising your tasks, you will not be able to balance work and personal life.

Eye your Schedule
Sometimes, despite of a schedule, you may lag behind in your tasks. Like when you were supposed to work on the last task, you are actually working on the second task in the list. This is why you should keep an eye on the schedule and whenever you feel you are lagging behind, you should just reschedule the whole thing to balance work personal life.

No Office, Out of Office
Don't ever think of tensions at office or work that's pending once you move out of office. This is very important for the perfect balance. When you are at home, enjoy the time with your family and try forgetting all office related tensions.

Family Time
Spend quality time with your family. Remember, this is essential for the right balance. Once home, talk with your family, interact with them for some time. You should spend some amazing weekends and take time off for family holidays as well.
