Early morning office on a Monday morning can be really lousy for working people. The urge to sleep for few hours more makes the person lethargic at work. The gone weekend spoils the mood and the Monday blues take away the energy from the body and mind.

Feeling lousy and lazy for whole day can affect the work environment and the performance. So, can you fight with office lethargy? Yes! Here are tips to deal with office lethargy.

A cup of coffee: Having a cup of coffee not only takes away the sleep but also keeps you energised. It has been found out that a cup of coffee can take away the sleep for 7-8 hours. So, coffee can help battle office lethargy. Remember, too much of caffeine also has side effects on the body especially dehydration. Have excess water to make up for the intake of caffeine.

Never skip breakfast: By having breakfast, you not only fight hunger but also provide energy and protein to the body to stay active whole day. Many working professionals skip their breakfast and this unhealthy lifestyle makes them more lethargic at work. Have a filling breakfast before you leave for office to battle lethargy. Stuffing heavy breakfast absorbs more energy on digestion therefore making you more lazy throughout the day.

Take a break: Try to take a break when you feel lethargic at office. Do some yoga or drink little water. It helps improve concentration and keep sleep at bay. You can also chat with your friend to freshen up the boring lousy mood.

Sleep early: This is an important tip to deal with office lethargy as working professionals are always busy working on their laptops even before going to bed. Have dinner 3-4 hours before going to sleep and relax the eyes. Use dim light bulbs to maintain sleep hygiene. Have a peaceful mind at night as stress can take away the sleep thus making you lethargic at work due to insufficient sleep.

Avoid white coloured food: It is best to avoid having white coloured food such as white pasta and white rice, at night to battle office lethargy in the morning. Having white food increases the blood sugar levels thus making you feel more lazy and lethargic in the morning.
