Eid-Al-Adha Grand Celebration

Amidst the all the rat race, festivals come as a breath of fresh air. There are thousands of festivals which are celebrated all around the year and now the world is celebrating Eid-Al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice. It is observed for three days. Eid-Al-Adha 2010 is being celebrated from 17th to 19th November. Festivals means food, shopping and loads of smiles everywhere. A time to rejoice forgetting all differences.

Eid-Al-Adha is a Muslim festival which is widely observed by Muslims across the globe but Pakistani women seem to be making the best out of it. It is their time to shop till your drop. Some of the major accessories for the Eid-Al-Adha festival are bangles and henna. Clothes, shoes and other accessories too cannot be ignored.
The shops are over loaded with bangles, bindis and designer heena. Eid-Al-Adha is also a great time for all Pakistani designers to come up with innovation fashion trends.

"We cannot even think of celebrating Eid without bangles. The colourful bangles are one of the most important items on Eid and a must for all girls," says Shaista Ahsan as saying.

She further reveals that preparation for festival is started days before the festival. Relatives from different countries come to meet the family. Some of major dishes typical of Eid are – Haleem, Badam Phirni, Nawabi Biryani, Seviyan etc. They are prepared and distributed to neighbours and friends to express the feeling of friendship and peace.
