A couple found $10 million in coins in their backyard. On a fine day, while walking their dog, the couple saw the top of a rusty canister poking out of the ground. On closer inspection, they dug up the area only to find 8 cans that contained 1427 coins, the value of which was estimated to be around $27,980! The couple decided to remain anonymous, fearing treasure hunters would rip up their land!

A couple in Woodland Hills, California, were not aware of a special feature in their backyard. They believed it was just a hole in the ground, but the hole turned out to be a bomb shelter! The shelter was perfectly preserved. It had aluminium foil, tissues, sleeping pills, different cans of "multi-purpose" food and eroding cans of coffee.

A man named 'Wayne Sabaj' was unemployed and while picking up broccoli from his backyard, he found $150,000 stashed in a nylon bag! He handed the bag to the police thinking it to be a case of robbery. After a few days, his 80-year-old neighbour claimed that it was her money and she wanted to get rid of it, as it was said to be "cursed" and hence had thrown it in his backyard. Since she did not want it back, the money would go to Wayne; however, it was found that he died (under shocking circumstances) 10 days before the money was awarded to him.

A homeowner was trying to dig a pond in his backyard for a landscaping project when the remains of human bones was found by him. On investigation, it was revealed that the bones were not of a recent murder, but of a 1000-year-old native American!

This Treasure Trove Had Over 200 Rings & 650-Year-Old Jewels

A guy from the Austrian city of Wiener Neustadt found a treasure trove in his backyard that consisted of more than 200 rings, brooches, and ornate belt buckles, which were known to be 650 years old. It also had gold-plated silver plates and other pieces or fragments of jewels encrusted with pearls, fossilized coral and other ornaments as well. He handed over the jewels to the Austrian Federal Monument Agency.
