IIJW 2014: Parineeti In Bridal Jewellery

IIJW 2014 was a 3-day event this year. No wonder, a lot of glamour had to be packed off in these 3 days. So keeping the short span of time in mind, many celebrities were stuffed into the tight schedule. Even on Day 3 of IIJW, there were a number of celebrities who walked the ramp for different designer labels. Parineeti Chopra walked the ramp of IIJW 2014 for Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers.

The collection put up by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas was a completely bridal one. They portrayed bridal jewellery in all its exuberance. There were diamonds, rubies, gold and interestingly beaded details as well. Parineeti Chopra was dressed in an ink blue lehenga choli from Shyamal and Bhumika. The tube choli had a sweetheart neckline and some really flamboyant embroidery.

Parineeti Chopra's IIJW ensemble included a pearl and diamond necklace as well as emerald bangles. The deep colour of the lehenga choli helped the white coloured jewellery to stand out. The rest of Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas collection comprised different types of bridal sets.

Diamond Tiara

Heavy as it was, we found this diamond tiara a little clumsy. The rest of the set was standard bridal necklace with layered details.

The Bell Tikka

This side mang tikka came in the shape of two bells. This mang tikka looked stunning on the model along with the collared necklace with red floral details.

The Pearl Mang Tikka

This is another form of the traditional side mang tikka. The jewellery uses tiny pearls and and very small chips of gemstones.

Red Banarasi & Green Emeralds

It is the 'Jewellery' week and we are supposed to talk about the jewels but we couldn't help but notice the red Banarasi lehenga and choli. The emerald layered necklace looked stunning with it.

The Layered Princess Necklace

This massive neck piece has strings of pearls, black gemstones and large uncut diamonds. It is bridal jewellery at its best.

Webbed Piece Of Hair Jewellery

This piece of hair jewellery is really different. Unlike the other mang tikkas that dangle, this hair accessory sticks to the hair like a web.

The Jumkha Necklace

Usually, jhumkas hang from the ears. However, here we saw jhumkas as a part of the rubies and diamond necklace itself.

The White & Purple Layered Jewel Ensemble

It would not be fair to call this just a layered necklace. This piece has so many different details and layers that it can be called a neck ensemble. We can see tiny pearls, purple gemstones and large pearls that are part of the necklace.

Pearl & Emerald Choker

This choker contains both pearls and emeralds that have been dazzled by adding some diamonds. This kind of a necklace is called a choker because it fits the neck with a choking effect.

This diamond and emerald neck piece has two parts. The first part is a triangular choker and the second layer is long necklace that has come up to the bust.

This layered necklace makes use of purple beads to add variety to the boring white and gold base.

The Show Stopper

The celebrity showstopper Parineeti Chopra was dressed in an ink blue lehenga. She wore a pearl necklace with a square pendant and large emerald bangles.
