As women's day is coming close, it is time to appreciate the hard work and power of Women! Even women are capturing various fields and are not just restricting themselves to the household chores. To celebrate women's day, here is a list of powerful women leaders who have showed that they can not only look after a household work but also run a country!

Indira Gandhi: The 3rd Prime Minister of India and the 1st woman Prime Minister of the country, Indira Priyadarshini was one of the most powerful and best female leaders. Indira Gandhi is a female leader who brought a difference to the country. She ruled from 1966-77 and then again came to power from 1980-84. in 1984 she was assassinated by one of her own bodyguards.

Queen Elizabeth II: The Queen of the British Commonwealth for 56 years and counting, is one of the most powerful leader in the world. No other woman has come closer to the longevity of this 82 year old leader.

Sheik Hasina Wajed: The 63-year-old leader of the left-of-center Awami League has survived as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. In 1975, her 17 family members including her parents, 3 brothers, her son and former Prime Minister Sheik Mujibur Rahman. The strong woman survived another attack and even afetr getting defeated in the Prime Minister elections,s he came back to power in 2009 (till date).

Golda Meir: After 20 years of the foundation of Israel, Golda Meir became the first female Prime Minister of the country. She is considered as one of the founding "fathers" of the nation and one of her cabinet members called her “ "the only man in the cabinet" . She took Israel through the massacre at the Munich Olympics and the Yom Kippur War

Benazir Bhutto: The successor of the Bhutto dynasty in Pakistan, Benazir struggled a lot to survive in the country. She served two terms as PM, five years in jail for corruption and after returning to her country, triumphant, the gorgeous woman was assassinated in 2007 when her chances of continuing the Bhutto legacy where returning in 2008 election.
