Mallika Sherawat's Lingerie Shoot For Maxim

By Super

Lingerie Shoot Mallika Sherawat
Lingerie shoots were a taboo for Bollywood beauties even a couple of years back. But who better to break the chains of gender laws than the 'baddest babe' of the industry. Yes, we are talking about Mallika Sherawat and that is a phrase used as the theme of her photo shoot. She has recently dared to bare quite a bit for a sizzling portfolio of images that shows her in nothing but the meanest essentials.

The Excuse To Bare..
Is actually a good one. This particular lingerie shoot was done for the 5th anniversary special edition of Maxim India. This is a very popular mens' magazine that has had the 'decent' girls like of Sonal Kapoor and Deepal Mehta on it's cover page. Mallika Sherawat will now appear in hot fashionable lingerie on the cover of Maxim India.

Interestingly the this edition has been titled 'The Baddest Babe In Her Goodest Shoot Ever'! And mind you, it is true to it's word. The sultry beauty has never looked better on film.

Who Is Hotter? Mallika Or Her Lingerie...

It is not like Mallika Sherawat to be outdone by anybody when it comes to rating her hotness quotient. She comes out victorious in this battle too. This lingerie shoot done by fashion photographer Nick Saglimbeni is very well shot. All credits to Mallika for posing extremely well. The much talked about white lingerie is particularly well captured amidst the white drapes and dappled sunlight. Mood light is very important for any lingerie shoot and this one has it bang on target.

No one can accuse this lingerie shoot of vulgarity. It is right there at teh top, in league with fashion lingerie images used by the best brands in the world. It is not yet as stark as a Calvin Klien or Victoria's Secret. But Indian lingerie has arrived in the world of celebrity fashion.

The Implications..

Fashionable lingerie has a huge market in India but no respectable Indian face to market it. That is probably the reason why Indian women continue to rely on foreign brands like Victoria's Secrets and Hanes. These lingerie brands are not tailor made for the Indian body type which is considerably more voluptuous than their European counterparts. This lingerie shoot gives hope that celebrity fashion icons will at last recognise the essential garment as an endorsement potential.
