They are commonly worn during festivals and especially during Durga Puja Tant enjoys a wide range of popularity and importance in West Bengal and the adjoining areas.

Pure Silk: Silk sarees attract the attention of every Indian woman. The name itself make women fantasize and completely fall for it. Pure silk have varieties like Korial, Garad, Muslin, Mooga, Katan, and Baluchari silks. Pure silk saree with Zardosi work, Pashmina Silk and even Banaroshi Saree are famous worldwide.

Jamdani: It's a cotton handloom fabric and is made with the finest muslin. As it is hand woven, it consumes the most time and is labour intensive. Jamdani saree takes upto one year's to complete.
