Aarti Ahlawat Virender Sehwag: The Celebrity Cricketer Wife

Aarti
It was moment of life on April 2nd, for the Delhi based cricketer Virender Sehwag, who with his 10 others had dreamt to win the World Cup after 28 years. The 2011 World Cup was special as it was reported that it would be Sachin Tendulkar's last and so of many other veterans.

Although Virender Sehwag (view pictures) was out for zero in the World Cup final match, he did managed to do good fielding which was very important for the team's win. The Victory was well appreciated and he even won good accolades for his hard work but would it be enough to remember his performance alone?, well, not at all, we would also want to give credits to that special person who completely backed him in his tough times, and that is, the cricketer's wife Aarti Ahlawat.

It was 22nd April 2004, when Virender, popularly called the Nawab of Najafgarh married advocate Suraj Singh Ahlawat's daughter Aarti Ahlawat. The ceremony was held at the residence of Arun Jaitley, the then Union law minister of India. It was a grand event attended by the top notch.

In 2007, cricketer's wife became a proud mother of Aryavir, born on 18th October 2007. Speaking over the birth of his son, Sehwag said,

''I am right now on top of the world.'' ''I was feeling on top of the world the moment I grabbed my son in my hands. 'Woh kehete hai na... khushi ke aasoon nikal aaye the.
(I was so happy that I had tears in my eyes.) Just like that.'' ''Thanks to Aarti, she gave me a lovely, priceless gift before my birthday,''

From managing his life to supporting his charity work for UNICEF, Aarti has made Virender's life complete.

After his dismal performance against Pakistan in April 1999, he was kept away for 20 months. Even after his marriage with Aarti Ahlawat, he was struggling hard and was considered inconsistent. Aarti became his lady luck and after her entry into his life, he earned three MoM awards and was retained in the 2007 World Cup squad.

Since then, his spot as the opening cricketer has been reserved for him. His performance in T20 is been unmatchable. His style, the thunder shots are simply original. He is the first person in the test cricket history to hit two triple centuries. He even gave the best start ever in 2011 World Cup by hitting the first ball for four throughout the series.

Even when it is about her son's future, she is ready to support him for whatever career he wants to pursue. In an interview, Sehwag had stated

"We'll allow him to do whatever he wants to do in life. We'll support him for whatever he wants to pursue in life.''

All in all, Aarti Ahlawat has undoubtedly been Virender's best life partner ever!
