Star Wars Helmet Tipped To Be One Of Top-Selling Christmas Toys

By Super Admin

Who doesn't love star wars toys, a list drawn up by shops termed as 'Dream Dozen ' has a helmet, which allows them to talk like a Star Wars stormtrooper, at the top.

12 of the items that kids would like as gifts for Christmas range from high-tech gadgetry costing hundreds to tried and trusted classics.

The toy list was complied by the Toy Retailers Association (TRA), and it represents 60 percent of the toyshops in Britain.

Some of the items, such as the classic 'Etch A Sketch', are already in short supply, and they warn that an under-ordering of stocks could lead to shoppers rioting for the last ones on the shelves.

"Even in an economic downturn, children still need exciting, good-value toys to entertain and inspire their creativity," the Sun quoted chairman Gary Grant as saying.

"From clever new twists on old favourites to ingenious use of new technologies, the selection strikes the balance between familiar brands and the new kids on the block," he said.

Among the most expensive is a fluffy life-size FurReal Biscuit, My Lovin' Pup, a canine covered in sensors that allow it to respond to strokes and cuddles, it costs 149.99 pounds, and even obeys orders. But cheaper is the Bakugan Starter Pack from Spinmaster, a strategy game, costing just 12.99 pounds.

Meccano's 199.99 pounds high-tech surveillance robot Spykee, which can be controlled via wi-fi from anywhere in the world, feeds back live CCTV footage to the player.

The top 12 toys chosen for this year has shown the innovation and expertise in the UK toy industry.
