Clothes need to be changed often during monsoon as you cannot roam around in wet clothes.

Tips To Make Clothes Dry Faster In Monsoon

Also, laundry becomes an issue as you cannot hang the clothes outside. Drying the clothes and making sure you have fresh clothes every day becomes a big task for you during monsoon. So, how do you manage to dry the clothes when it is raining heavily? Here are some laundry tips to dry clothes during monsoons.

Hang your Clothes
The only option left with you to dry your clothes during monsoons is to make sure you let them dry indoors. How will you get to dry the clothes indoors? Use hangers. Place the clothes that you want to dry on the hanger. Hang them on a clothes line or a hanger stand. The spread is greater when the clothes are tied to the hanger, and this way, you will see that they tend to dry faster.

Drip in the Bathroom
Allow the clothes to drip dry inside the bathroom first. This way, you would be allowing the water to be inside the bathroom and not enter the premises of your house. Also, when the water is drained out of the clothes, drying them becomes easy. This way these clothes will just have to be there for few minutes on the clothes line before they get dry.

Squeeze Out Water
In case you have a washing machine, you don’t really need to do this. But if you don’t have one, you will have to manually squeeze out all the excess water from the clothes. Even after having drip dried the clothes, you will see that there is some amount of water present in these clothes. Make sure you get rid of that water before you are ready to dry them out on the hanger.

Get Rid of Foul Smell
When drying clothes indoors, you are often worried about the foul smell that might penetrate your clothes. Make sure you get rid of this smell naturally. You can light incense lamps that would spread fragrant smell around the home. A dhoop is also a good way to beat the foul smell from entering clothes. These are natural methods. Just make sure the lamp or dhoop does not come anywhere near the clothes.

Low on Moisture
When you dry the clothes indoors, you need to be worried about the moisture levels in the room! If the moisture levels are high, the clothes might get all the bacteria and fungus on it. The best way to keep the moisture levels low in the room is by having a sack of sea salt lying in the corner of the house. The moisture levels go low with this, and the clothes are saved from getting damped.

Allow Fresh Air
If there is a moment when the sky is clear and the sun has come out, open the doors and windows to allow the sun’s rays to enter the home. This way, there would be some amount of heat entering the home, and if there is any moisture or foul smell, it would be removed that very instant. You can also get the clothes to dry out easily in this way.
