3. Ganesha idols - Most of the Ganesha idols are made out of brass. To clean the Ganesha idol, one must use lemon juice. Rub a fresh cut lemon over the idol and use a wet sponge to wipe the idol and remove the stickiness left behind.

4. Marble floors - In most of the puja rooms, the flooring is marble. When you clean a marble flooring, you need to use one of the best home cleaning ingredient which is baking powder. Lemon and baking powder will help to get rid of stains on the marble floor in the puja room.

5. Clothes of the idol - Lord Ganesha's clothes is the most important thing which needs cleaning too. Soft cotton clothes need to be hand washed with plain soap and water.

6. Tile walls - Every puja room has tile walls which adds to the beauty of the room. Cleaning the puja room tiles can be done with the help of white vinegar and warm water. The contents present in vinegar will leave your tiles sparkling.

7. Altar table - The altar table is usually made out of wooden. If the wood is old, you can either replace it for a new one or polish the wood. Sandpaper the edges of the wooden altar to get rid of sharp edges.

8. Curtains - Cleaning the puja room curtains is an easy task, but it has to be done in the morning when the sun is up. Warm water and mild soap is needed to clean the puja curtains. If there is oil spilled on the curtain, dab a little powder on the stain before you wash it.

9. Puja door - Puja doors are made out of wood. To make your puja door shine, take a ball of cotton, add olive oil and wipe the entire door. Use a dry white cloth to wipe the door after the oil treatment.

10. Puja Bell - Cleaning the puja room bell is very important. Brass bells can be cleaned by rubbing a piece of tamarind and washing it with clear water. Copper bells can be cleaned with the help of white vinegar.
