1.Place a plate under the pots so that when you water them the excess water gets collected in the plates and can be absorbed by plants when dry. This will save excess watering on plants that goes waste.
2.While washing cars see it to that you don't use water pipes to clean cars but instead carry water in buckets. This will help you in keeping account of water used rather than wasting it through pipes.
3.If possible, try to line wet clothes outside rather than using a dryer as this saves electricity consumption and money.
4.After preparing food, soak all vessels in a tub of hot water as all oil grimes will be easily washed away and would be very easy to clean without much wastage of water. It will also save energy consumption and money on Dishwashers etc.
5.Classify the trash into biodegradable, non biodegradable and e-waste and dispose the e-waste in a proper place. This is a good environment friendly household practice.
6.Turn off the lights when not in use as this will save electricity.
7.While purchasing home appliances, look for energy efficient appliances that will saving money on electricity bills. Do not forget the unplug appliances when not in use.
