HOW YOUR SOIL SHOULD BE FOR POT PLANTS?
These pot vegetables will need large containers, good potting soil and a suitable spot like a patio or a corner in the house which receives a minimal of six to seven hours of sunlight a day. To make your garden look all the more beautiful, purchase pots which you can decorate with fancy coloured paints.

Beans
The best pot vegetable to grow this summer is bush beans. It is the best breed to grow in a pot. While sowing the beans, make sure they are four inches apart in the container and at least 12 inches deep into the soil.
Carrot
You can grow around 12 to 13 carrots in a container. It is one of the best pot vegetables to grow this summer. Earthen pots are the best to grown orange carrots.
Cucumber
This summer you should eat a lot of cucumbers as it helps to keep you hydrated. Plant large-growing varieties of cucumbers in bigger pots and the smaller ones in small pots.
Onions
One of the best pot vegetables to grow this summer is onions. Sow the seeds around 2 to 3 inches deep into the soil and water it. Make sure you have a big pot for bigger bulbs.
Peas
One of the easiest pot vegetables to grow this summer is peas. This veggie grows well in containers. All you need to do is sow peas about 2 inches apart and at least 10 inches deep. Also, provide support for the peas to climb up.
Beetroot
Beets need a big pot to grow and a depth of 12 inches, as they do not like to be crowded.
Lettuce
You don't need a large pot to grown lettuce. You need to sow the seeds half an inch away from each other. Keep the soil warm and sprinkle cool water when the first shoots begin to grow
Potato
The best pot vegetable to grow this summer is potatoes. You need to place the shoot 8 to 10 inches deep in the pot soil. After you see the plants starting to grow, cover the stems with more soil. Potatoes need a lot of soil for them to grow well in a pot.
Radish
Another pot vegetable to grow this summer is radish. It is an easy plant to grow in this weather. You will need to scatter the seeds on the top and keep the soil moist at all times.
Tomatoes
You will need a pot which is 18 inches deep to grow tomatoes in your home. Sow the seeds 12 inches deep. Make sure you water the plant once in a day.
Bell Peppers
The best way to grow any pepper variety in a pot is to make sure you plant the seeds in 5-gallon pot, so it can hold one to two plants.
Leafy Vegetables

Broccoli

Brinjal
To grow brinjal in a pot, you need to have a container which is around five gallons. Plant one eggplant per five-gallon a pot. After sowing the seeds, push a small stake into the pot to support the plant.
