Essential Tools For Your Balcony Garden
City-dwellers often lose touch with the mother nature. This is where gardening comes to the rescue. With busy and stressed life a hobby like gardening helps relax mind and eases tension. But, not many are aware how to start their own garden or the kind of tools needed to start a garden. Do not worry, we will help you with that.
Having the right gardening tools is essential as they make difference in the maintenance of the garden. Generally an array of tools in the market confuses most of the beginners. However, once you start with 'my-very-own-garden' there will be nothing that will keep you from being a pro. Here is our list of the essential tools to start balcony gardening:
Gloves
Invest in good latex or rubber gloves. They will protect your hands and nails from the soil and fertilizers. Choose the ones that have padded knuckles and palms. These will shied you from possible cuts from sharp tools and thorny plants.
Scissors/Pruners
A pair of scissors is an important tool for any gardener. While this handy little thing takes care of the unwanted branches, twigs and dried leaves for the time being, pruners look after the cutting of thicker plant stems. Moreover, pruners are helpful in providing a clean cut to the plants and keep them healthy.

Hand Trowel
This basic garden tool is useful in planting bulbs, seedling and other small plants. Get hand trowel that has a rubber handle which will help you hold it better and also be sure that it is neither too large nor heavy. After all a gardener should be at comfort!
Hand Hoe/Fork
A hand fork or hand hoe helps loosen the soil and aerate the soil before planting. Furthermore, it allows deep digging if required, mix new soil or fertilizer.

These can be a great 'must-have' for the balcony gardens. As the name suggests mobile planter can be easily transported from one place to the other.
