Make

to
choose
pillow
cases
that
are
ready
to
sew.
Try to pick colours that do go well with your decors before cutting them. One pillowcase can yield four napkins. Try to cut a rectangle about 18 x 17. Fold about 1/2 all around edges. Try to sew 1/2 inch hem on each edges. Make sure to sew along the edge of the fold with straight stitch.
Now you have a pretty set of coloured napkins for a fraction of the cost than the regular napkins that are available in the market. These are one of the things that you can do with a pillow case.
Kids
Dress
Firstly
you
need
to
cut
the
sewn
end
of
your
colourful
pillow
case.
Make
sure
to
fold
the
pillowcase
into
half.
Next
cut
the
armholes.
It
has
to
be
cut
about
4
inches
down
and
2
inches
in.
Now try to fold up the top to about 3/8 inches at the front and the back. Do an edge stitch for casing. Now glide 6 inches of ¼ inches elastic to do a gather in front. Make sure to repeat it for the back too.
Next cut two 38 inches length of double fold bias tape for the armholes. You need to fold each to half and then try stitching along the armholes, but make sure to leave additional space at the top so as to tie up the dress at the shoulders. These are one of the interesting things that you can do with a pillow case.
Six Simple Ways To Decorate Small Room
Wrapping
paper
If
you
have
to
wrap
your
kid's
basket
ball
or
your
favourite
accessories
you
know
that
an
ordinary
wrapping
paper
would
tear
and
cut
up.
And
certainly
your
wrapping
paper
won’t
do
the
trick.
Try
to
dump
your
favourite
stuff
into
the
pillow
case
and
then
use
a
colourful
ribbon
to
close
it.
You
can
even
decorate
it
with
no
crease
hair
ties.
Tote
bag
Pick
a
pillow
case
with
sturdy
fabric.
Now
find
the
corner.
Find
the
bottom
corners
of
the
pillowcase
and
try
folding
the
edge
of
your
bag.
All
you
need
to
do
is
try
to
crease
the
bottom
of
your
bag.
You
need
to
use
pins
on
both
sides
into
the
place
so
as
to
crumple
the
bottom.
Make sure to create a triangle shape. Try to do it on both the sides and pin it flat. It is better to sew along the pinned section. For converting your pillow case to a tote bag all you need to begin with is a needle and thread and a sewing machine.
Now you will have to cut your pillowcase as high so to the make your bag the way you wanted. Try to fold down the top about 1.5 inches and securely pin it. Then sew this portion to create a perfect hem. You can even add straps for your bags ( use the hemmed portion for it).
Now turn the bag inside out and try to pin the straps into the position. You can have 6 to 7 inch straps for your bag. Try to embellish your bag with floral print, or trying using beads on it.
Store
Newspaper
Put
your
old
newspapers
in
your
threadbare
pillow
case
so
that
it
doesn’t
turn
into
a
clutter
in
your
house.
You
can
even
store
folded
bed
sheets
inside
the
pillowcase
to
keep
them
organised
and
tidy.
You
can
make
use
of
the
pillow
case
even
to
store
rags.
These
are
few
things
you
can
make
with
a
pillow
case.
Pet
bed
For
your
dog
bed
make
sure
to
decorate
your
old
pillowcase
with
a
nice
pet
theme.
If
you’re
good
at
drawing
then
draw
a
dog
bone
or
you
could
even
try
writing
the
name
of
your
pet
across
the
pillowcase.
Now
try
stuffing
some
old
newspapers
into
it.
Then
tie
the
closed
end
with
string
and
make
sure
to
trim
the
ends.
You
could
even
sew
the
end
so
that
it
won't
open
later.
These are some of the useful things that you can do with your old or thread bare pillow case.
