The color red has different symbolism in different cultures. In Feng Shui, the color red if used properly will bring the desired energy and benefits at home. According to Feng Shui, red symbolizes fire, a positive and divine energy. Fire can be considered as both destructive and creative. In Hindu culture, it is believed that one should not use red color in bedrooms especially, as it is a symbol of anger which can effect the relationship.   • It is best to use red colored accessories at home rather than going for wall painting and furniture colored in red. Removal becomes easy if the benefit is not derived from the symbol red.
  • Red color when used in bedroom can bring joy, sensual desire and excitement. According to Feng Shui, red is the color of arousal. As a color of romance, when red color is used in bedroom, it can spice up romance.
  • East and southeast areas in Feng Shui are best to use red color at home. For better results, use red color on wooden element such as a red colored showpiece.
  • West and northwest are also good directions to use red color at home. In Feng Shui, use red color on metallic element for best results.
  • Red is the symbol of luck and happiness in China. If used in the entrance door, red color can bring happiness in the house. Entrance door is the point where luck, opportunities, energy and happiness comes.
  • In Hindu culture, red implies power and fear. It is the color of purity and is sacred too.
  • When used with earth element, red color at home can be effective. Earth elements such as the center, southwest and northeast areas are great to use red color and its symbolism.
  • Danger, aggression and anger are also symbolism of red color. Avoid using it in the living room and kitchen.

Try using red color in home but if the reactions are not positive, remove it after observation.
