If You Have Tachycardia, Improve Your Lifestyle To Avoid Complications
Tachycardia occurs when our heart rate becomes very fast. There are several types of tachycardia, and an improvement in the lifestyle is required to get rid of this problem.
Tachycardia happens when your heart beats more than 100 times a minute. Tachycardia can be of three types: supraventricular, ventricular and sinus tachycardia.
Supraventricular tachycardia occurs when the electrical signals in the heart's upper chambers do not function normally and make the heart rate faster. The heart beats so fast that it fails to fill itself with blood before contraction. It reduces the flow of the blood to the rest of the body.
Ventricular tachycardia happens in the heart's lower chambers. It is caused when the electrical signals function in a wrong manner. The consequence of this is also the same as the first.
The third, sinus tachycardia, happens when the heart's pace sends out signals faster than the normal. The rate becomes fast as a result.

Treatments For Tachycardia:
Here are some ways to treat tachycardia:
• Qualitative change in lifestyle, like reducing stress and avoiding anxiety
• Proper intake of medicines
• Giving up smoking, alcohol and having adequate sleep
• Consuming foods that don't take a toll on the heart and create complications for the vital organ
Foods That People With Tachycardia Should Or Shouldn't Consume:
1. Drink Tea Instead Of Coffee: Give up caffeinated beverages and choose tea instead. Caffeine is a stimulant that can cause tachycardia. Take only non-alcoholic beverages. Though there are decaffeinated coffee varieties available in the market, always consult a doctor to know whether those are good for your health.
2. Eat Less Sugar: The more sugar you eat, the higher is your body's reaction by overproducing pancreatic enzymes, insulin, etc., and the rise in the production of the hormones thus makes your heart beat quicker. Eat sugar in moderation, so that the blood sugar level remains stable and the heart is spared from any kind of a disorder.
3. Avoid Fatty Food: High cholesterol and obesity can cause tachycardia. Hence, eat food that has a less amount of fat and the one that does not increase your cholesterol level. Eat low-fat foods like skim cheese, low-fat milk, fat-free yogurt, etc. These will also keep you healthy and minimise the chances of heart complications.
4. DASH Diet: Go for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertensions (DASH) diet if you have a tachycardiac tendency. The DASH diet includes fruits, vegetables, low-fat diary, protein, etc., that regulate your blood pressure and reduce the possibility of heart diseases. One of the key importance of the DASH diet is its low content of sodium, which is a major source of hypertension.
