These Chemicals Deplete Vitamin D Levels In Your Body
Vitamin D if not absorbed by the body properly, can lead to several diseases. Read on to know which chemicals deplete vitamin D levels in the body.
Vitamin D is essential for our body to function well. If you want to remain disease free, you should see to it that you take regular doses of vitamin D in your diet. The lack of vitamins in your diet can give rise to diseases such as weak bones, depression, heart disease, dementia, cancer, etc.
Consuming vitamin D on a regular basis is not enough. You must see to it that it is being properly absorbed by the body. Without proper absorption, the vitamin D that you consume or the one that you get when you expose yourself to the sun goes as waste. Hence, you should be careful about things that do not allow vitamin D to be absorbed by the body.
These are items that do not allow vitamin D to be absorbed by the body properly. These are certain packaging items, toiletries and cleaning products. According to a study in which the urine of a couple of women were studied, it was found that certain chemicals were found in the urine of a couple of women.
These women had phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) in their urine and they were also found to be deficient in vitamin D compared to other women who were a part of the study. These two substances have been found to affect the metabolic and digestive enzymes in the body in a negative way. Hence, it disrupts the conversion of vitamin D.
