Ovarian Cancer Risk Double In Women Who Douche

By Super Admin

Ovarian cancer as well as ovarian cysts and PCOS have now been linked to an unbalanced lifestyle where individuals are over stressed at work, eating the wrong types of food and virtually living a life where their bodies are constantly questioned to preserve their balance. It is when this balance is lost that illness and health problems arise.

However, a new study has come up which says that women who douche have double the risk of developing ovarian cancer. Earlier, douching was related to diseases like ectopic pregnancies, inflammation in the pelvis, sexually transmitted diseases, yeast infections, problems with conception, HIV and cervical cancer. But now douching is also being linked to ovarian cancer.

Many women believe that douching will help them to clean their vagina and keep them free from diseases related to the pelvic region. However, gynaecologists do not recommend this process. They believe that certain initiatives are needed to convince women that douching is in no way good for the female body.

Gynaecologists say that there are a number of health reasons because of which douching should not be encouraged. When you douche, you interfere with the natural way in which the vagina is cleaned. Vaginas have the capability of cleaning themselves. When you douche, you only end up interfering with nature's balance.

Douching can result in the growth of yeast infections and harmful bacteria and you can end up infecting the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovary. It should be avoided at all cost as it can cause ovarian cancer which is said to be a silent killer as women only experience the symptoms in the advanced stages.
