All kinds of fat are not unhealthy. There are certain good fats that are essential for the proper functioning of our body. You have to opt for the right kind of fat to stay healthy.

It generally comes from vegetarian sources and increases the good cholesterol levels or HDL and lowers the bad cholesterol levels or LDL. These types of fat are liquid at room temperature. Consuming this type of fat is good for the health.
Tran fats are generally found in processed foods and margarine. This kind of fat is liquid at room temperature, but through the process of hydrogenation have been modified chemically to be solid at room temperature. They enhance the taste and structure of various products and improve their shelf life.
