8 Signs You Have Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

1. Frequent Urination Urge:
UTI is caused due to bacterial infection; it is caused when bacteria enter the bladder through the urethra. This is more common among women as their urethra is shorter and bacteria infect the urinary tract more quickly than in men. Also the amount of urine will be less.
2. Burning Sensation While Urinating:
When the bacteria enter the urinary tract it causes inflammation; this is why it causes a burning sensation while you urinate.
3. Slight Blood In The Urine:
When you are infected with UTI, you could also witness a slight reddish urine or blood in the urine. When the bladder gets infected with the urine you tend to get blood in the urine.
4. Cloudy Urine:
Generally the urine is clear, but due to the infection caused by microbes, it makes the urine cloudy. This is one of the common signs of UTI. As soon as you identify it, get it treated before it gets delayed.
5. Smell In The Urine:
The bacteria which cause the UTI give the urine that foul smell. So one needs to check instantly, if one has this symptom.
6. Nausea And Vomiting:
Nausea and vomiting are one of the most common symptoms of UTI. When the bacterial infection spreads to the kidneys, it causes nausea and vomiting.
7. Muscle Aches:
As the bacteria infect the urinary tract it causes muscle pain. For that matter any form of infection causes joint and muscle pain as your immune system tries to fight back these microbes.
8. Abdominal Pain:
When the microbes affect the bladder, it causes light to severe abdominal pain. We tend to ignore it thinking it is some common pain, but this might be one of the symptoms of UTI. Hence we should not ignore any abdominal pain.
