Why Do We Sweat?
We hate to sweat but sweating is inevitable. Well, why do we sweat? Your body has to adjust itself to the surroundings. In that process, the sweating mechanism tries to cool down your body when the temperatures around are rising.
9 Best Ways To Get Rid Of Sweat
What is the primary reason we sweat? Well, we tend to sweat in order to cool down. Sweat is salty. Your body comes with sweat glands. In fact, we all have millions of sweat glands working in our bodies every day. These glands are responsible for releasing the liquid called as sweat.
The areas from which your body tends to release sweat are: under arms, feet and palms. When you perform a workout, your body gets heated up and the sweating process cools it down. You might have also noticed that you tend to sweat when you are angry and stressful.
Though most of us don't realise, the average human body releases at least a litre of sweat on a daily basis. Of course, we seldom notice it as it evaporates soon after it is released.
Now, let us discuss other reasons why we sweat.
Intense Exercises
Your body's temperature may start rising depending upon the intensity of your workouts. That is when you will again start sweating. You can try working out in cooler environments and you can also consume more water to keep yourself hydrated.
Food
Spicy foods can also trigger your sweat glands. In fact, even caffeine makes you sweat a bit. This is one of the reasons why we sweat.
Heat
When the climate is hot and humid, we inevitably sweat. Do you know why you tend to feel sweaty more when the climate is humid? Well, in such a climate, your sweat may take time to evaporate. Well, those who hate body odour generally use antiperspirants to block the process.
Medicines
Certain medicines can also make you sweat. Especially, the ones which are used to combat fever can make you sweat more.
Smoking
Smoking could also be one of the reasons why we sweat. Health experts opine that smoking also stimulates your sweat glands.
Emotional Sweating
Sometimes, when you are angry or stressed out, you might start sweating. Also, nervousness can make you sweat.
Fevers
Generally, when the body's temperature rises due to a fever, your body tries to cool it down through sweating.
