A new study shows that there are some foods in our kitchen itself which is harmful to our body. Strange right?

Fruit Seeds

Peach and apricot seeds are toxic for you to consume. These fruits contain a type of hydrogen cyanide called prussic acid which is quite harmful to the body.

Rhubarb

A herb which is highly poisonous in nature. It is said that the leaves of the rhubarb can kill a man instantly. However, the herb's roots is healthy for one to consume if you are suffering from constipation

 

 

Tomatoes

Another healthy vegetable which is consumed on a very high scale. The leaves and stems of the tomato plant contain a chemical called Glycoalkaloid which is a poison. If by chance an individual eats the leaves or stems it will causes extreme nervousness and stomach upsets leading to death

 

 

Potatoes

Do you know this healthy vegetable is poisonous? The potato contains its poison in the stems and leaves. If the potato is green in colour, it is highly poisonous as it has glycoalkaloid poison present in it. If one eats a green potato, they face a death after a period of weakness and confusion and might even go into a coma.

 

 

Almonds

Yes, you heard that right! One should never consume almonds which are bitter in taste as they contain a poison called cyanide. Always soak almonds or fry them, both of these methods help to remove the poison in the almonds.

 

 

Nutmeg

Nutmeg can kill your brain. It is said that consuming just 0.2 oz of nutmeg could lead to convulsions, and 0.3 oz could lead to seizures.

Honey

It is best to only consume honey which is sold in the shops. The unpasteurized honey contains grayanotoxin which is one of the worst toxic foods to eat as it can eventually lead to nausea, and vomiting that last for 24 hours.

Tuna

The danger of tuna is the amount of mercury that the fish absorbs. This mercury is not good for pregnant women as well as children as it could lead to miscarriages and brain tumors in the young.

Cashews

Raw cashews should not be consumed as it is proved to be a fatal food since they contain a chemical called urushiol, a chemical also found in poison ivy.

Tapioca

The leaves and roots of tapioca are surprisingly rich in cyanide which is quite dangerous for you to consume. This is a well know type of vegetable to pair up with fish curry.
