How To Quench Excessive Thirst In Summer
What's the reason behind the thirst in summer? Well, thirst is nothing but the craving for water. When your system lacks enough water to function well, it signals you in the form of thirst.
The human body functions harmoniously only when the fluid balance is in a proper way. When shortage occurs, the body starts signaling through thirst.
Healthy Summer Drinks To Prevent Dehydration
When thirst is ignored and the body is water deprived then several health problems may start cropping up. Headaches, dehydration, dizziness, dry skin, fatigue and even fainting can occur when the body lacks enough fluids.
That is why it is important to know how to quench thirst in summer. Well, drinking water could be enough to quench thirst but when the temperatures are too high then several other tips may be required to help your body deal with the fluid balance. Let us discuss about those tips.
Simple Ways To Quench Your Thirst
Food
Consume fruits and vegetables every night. This will minimize the thirst during the mornings as the water content in the fruits and vegetables will stay in your system for some time.
Sun
It goes without saying that sun exposure would make you feel thirsty. It is better to stay indoors during mid-noon.
Drinks
Say no to soft drinks as they increase your thirst. Also, reduce your consumption of sweets. It is better to find ways to reduce your body's need for water.
Grapes
Consuming the juice of sour grapes is also said to be good in quenching thirst. Try this if your thirst is nagging for a long time.
Sodium
It is good to minimise your intake of salty and spicy foods as they make you feel thirsty.
Water
Take some water in a vessel and heat it till most of it gets evaporated. Now drink that water. Many believe that this method works well in quenching excessive thirst in summer.
Gooseberry
Grind a gooseberry and add a few drops of honey to it. Consume the paste twice a day for a week. You will gradually feel better.
Apple
Soak a few apples in water during the night. After waking up, juice the apples and consume the juice. This might help if it is regularly followed.
