What Can Reduce The Risk Of Heart Failure?
A new research claims that your heart can be protected if you take certain steps. Here are they: quit smoking, lose weight, control cholesterol, eat healthy, workout regularly, minimise blood sugar and control your blood pressure. They are the habits for healthy heart.
As a part of the study, researchers examined nearly 3000 people for a span of nearly 12 years. Most of the participants were around the age 59.
Some of the participants experienced heart issues. While some of them changed their lifestyles a bit and minimised their risk by 23%, others worked harder and minimised their risk by nearly 50%.
Researchers concluded that knowing your exact health status can help you minimise the risk as you will have a chance to change your lifestyle when you detect something in the early stages.
For example, you can act on habits like smoking in the early stages and this could make a lot of difference. Also, when you know your health profile clearly, you can work on your body weight too. If you are overweight, you can quickly incorporate a workout routine in your life to minimize your risk of heart failure.
Periodic checkups are advisable especially if you have crossed 35 years of age. If your doctor says that your heart is vulnerable then you can start changing your food choices and attempt to minimise your risk factors.
As blood sugar levels and blood pressure levels also play an important role in impacting your overall health, you can take the suggestions of your family doctor when it comes to what to eat and how much to exercise.
This research concluded that when heart issues are detected in the early stages, the risk can be minimised by making changes to lifestyle.
