We often wonder about the causes of hormone imbalance. Some of the main reasons for hormone imbalances are stress, inadequate sleep, improper diet and unhealthy lifestyle. Menopause, pregnancy, menstrual cycle, and contraceptive pills will also cause hormone imbalance symptoms in women. In general, all these body variations are the signs to know hormone imbalance.
Well, now let us see some of the common signs to know hormone imbalance:
Sleeping Disorders: A hormone called progesterone helps in relaxing our whole body. Sometimes, the progesterone level decreases sharply, causing anxiety and depression, thereby affecting the relaxing properties of our body. This can make us restless causing sleep disorder.
Fatigue: Do you feel exhausted and tired quite often? It is because you could be suffering from the lack of thyroid hormone. Thyroid hormones control the metabolic activities of our body and when these hormones are low, all your body system gets slow down and you feel fatigued.
Weight Gain: Due to an imbalance in the thyroid hormone the metabolism of our body decreases and thus altering the functions of our pancreas. Pancreas then conserves fat and stores it in the middle section of your body that results in weight gain.
Foggy Memory: Occasionally forgetting something is natural, but feeling this constantly could be an underlying hormonal problem. Estrogen controls cortisone, the hormones used in brain communication. So, when estrogen levels decrease, naturally cortisol level also decreases causing memory lapses.
Hot Flashes And Night Sweats: A sudden feeling of heat on your face and upper body is called as hot flashes, whereas night sweats cause more sweating than hot flashes. These common hormone imbalance symptoms are the result of low estrogen level, especially in women during menopause.
