Vitamins That Athletes Need
Athletes need ample source of proteins, minerals and vitamins for energy and stamina. Though vitamins do not participate directly in energy production, they work as a catalyst in the procedure of turning food into energy. Athletes need a lot of energy, therefore they do need a constant supply of vitamins to boost the production of energy.
Similarly, it is not very necessary to have a full diet filled with vitamins. But there should be no shortage in the vitamin supply in the body. In this article, we will talk about a few vitamins essential for an athlete.
Vitamin B1 & B2 – Vitamin B is further distinguished as vitamin B1 and vitamin B2. Vitamin B1 helps in breaking down of carbohydrates and proteins to energy.
