Yoga Poses To Improve Women's Fertility
Are you planning to have a baby soon or you have been having trouble getting pregnant? If so, then don't worry, yoga might solve your problem. There are many yoga poses which are known to increase fertility in women. If done under proper guidance, you might become a healthy and proud ‘mother' very soon.
There are many medical procedures which are known to be very successful for women facing fertility problems but their cost is like a nightmare for most of the couples. Although, it is always good to take proper medical, advice but you can try yoga poses as well. Always make sure you are doing it under a trained and certified instructor.
There are several yoga poses which are meant to strengthen your reproductive organs and improve fertility. Yoga not only soothes your body and mind but prepares your body for pregnancy as it relaxes the body and balances your hormones as well. Following are the yoga poses which you can do to increase your chances of getting pregnant:
Lotus Pose (Padmasana)
> Sit on a yoga mat or blanket with your legs stretched out. Draw your right leg towards left thigh with your sole facing upwards. Do the same with right leg. This pose work on the abdominal muscles and reproductive areas, and balances your hormones.
Butterfly Pose
Sit in padmasana with your feet touching each other. Position them as close to your pubic area as possible. Inhale and place your hands on your feet and then exhale pressing your thighs until your knees touch the ground.
Legs on the Wall Pose
It is one of the yoga poses that improves fertlity in women. Lay on your side with your buttocks against the wall. Raise your legs until they are parallel to the wall which is a 90 degree angle. Breathe normally. Hold this pose for 5 minutes before slowly bringing your legs down.
Child's Pose
Kneel with your feet together and knees together. Lean forward and stretch your arms. Your head should face the floor. This pose relaxes the body and mind and increases your chances of getting pregnant.
Pelvic Tilt Pose
Lie on the floor with your back and legs straight. Place your arms on the floor facing the ceiling. Exhale and gently tilt the pelvis and press your lower back with the hips on the ground. Inhale and tilt the pelvis in the opposite direction.
Bridge Pose
Lie on the floor with your feet together, and soles touching the buttocks and knees bent. As you inhale, push your feet and arms on the ground lifting your buttocks off the floor. Hold this pose for minimum 60 seconds and lower your back while exhaling.
Forward Bend
Stand with your back straight. As you inhale, bring your arms above your head. Exhale and then bend forward with your knees bent. Inhale and come back with your arms above your head. Exhale and put your arms by your sides.
Knees to Chest Pose
Lie on your back with your feet close to your buttocks. Inhale and bend your knees and draw them against your chest. Keep your knees a little away from each other. Exhale and draw your knees towards the chest without the support of your hands.
Seated Forward Bend
Sit with your legs extended in front of you. Draw your shoulders back and your chest up. Bend forward and try to stretch your hands as much as possible. While bending forward, bend your waist and not the head.
Reclining Hero Pose
Kneel upright with your knees together and feet apart. Sit down on your buttocks between your feet. Gently lower your back until you touch the floor. If you are not able to do so, keep a pillow below your back and shoulders. It is one of the yoga poses that improves fertlity in women.
