Lower back pain is almost like an epidemic among young working professionals these days. Almost every other person you talk to is suffering from back pain that is non-specific.
We are not tempted to investigate the cause of back pain because we take it too lightly. We think that persistent lower back pain is not a cause for alarm. And we slowly get used to a painful existence. However, it is vital that you know the causes of back pain because it can turn out to be very serious.
There are various causes of back pain and here are some of the most common ones.
Posture Problems
Posture problems are one of the commonest causes of lower back pain. You need to brief up on sitting postures while working if you have a desk job. And please ditch your fancy office chair in favour of one that is kind to your back.
Pregnancy
When you are pregnant you will experience severe pain in your tail bone. Even after the baby is born, the pain is reluctant to go away.
Injury
You can pull a muscle while lifting something heavy or get a catch in your back due to an awkward sitting position. This kind of back pain caused by injury should not last for more than 2 weeks.
High Heels
Inappropriate shoes often cause terrible backache. If you are fond of wearing high heels, your nerve ending gets strained and your weight is not evenly balanced. That is why, you can experience severe back pain.
Obesity
When you are overweight, too much pressure is put on your spinal cord. Obesity is one of the leading causes of lower back pain. The only way to overcome this is to lose weight.
Bumpy Rides
Pot-holed road and rash driving can often make your back sore. This is because constant jerks put a pressure on your spinal cord.
These are some of the common causes of back pain among young adults. When back pain becomes chronic it is called lumber pain or spondylitis.
