However it does not matter what type of toothbrush you use. When it comes to brushing, the technique between the manual and the electric toothbrush varies. The brushing technique with an electric toothbrush is different from that of a manual brush. Charge your electric toothbrush: When the electric toothbrush is losing power make sure you charge the batteries. Always keep the electric toothbrush closer to the sink as it is easy to reach.

Use the electric toothbrush efficiently: Most of the electric toothbrush have soft nylon bristles which are very effective for brushing. Since they are made of nylons they will wear out over easily and become much less efficient, so be sure to use it effectively and replace the brush when you notice the inevitable wear and tear.

Techniques of brushing with electric toothbrush: Make sure you brush thoroughly, spend atleast 30 seconds in each quadrant (Each of four quarters of your mouth). You need to spend over two to three minutes to clean your teeth.

Brush your tongue: Brush your tongue as well, this will help in scrubbing away bacteria that can cause bad breath. Don't brush too aggressively or you could damage the tissue of your tongue.
