Dry Nuts For A Healthy Heart
We all have heard about the health benefits of dry fruits and dried fruits on our body. Likewise, it is interesting to know that there are many nuts and seeds that fall into the category of dry fruits but are quite distinctive in their nature and are known for their nutritional benefits. So, if you think that heart patients can't have dry fruits or nuts, then you are wrong!
Nuts like hazel nuts, walnuts, pine nuts and almonds are heart healthy nuts so must be included in the diet. These nuts are a rich source of minerals, vitamins, iron, zinc and omega-3 fatty acids that are very essential for our health. Many people avoid eating nuts thinking that they have high cholesterol levels. But as opposed to this thought, these nuts are exceptional and have all the nutritional value that are essential for the healthy heart.

Hazel nuts
Hazel nuts contain folate which is an important Vitamin that prevents anemia. Hazel nuts are also rich in dietary fiber, minerals and are packed with numerous health promoting phyto-chemicals. The folate content in the hazel nuts helps in pumping more blood to the body which keeps our internal organs clean and is also relevant for the function of the heart.
Walnuts
Walnuts are a rich source of important omega-3 essential fatty acids like linoleic acid. Adding walnuts in our daily diet helps us to lower bad cholesterol level in our blood. Omega-3 fatty acids prevents coronary artery disease, strokes and have anti-inflammatory properties to prevent heart diseases.
Brazil nuts
Brazil nuts have high levels of selenium, a mineral. Selenium is known to be the highest natural source of mineral and adequate selenium foods in the diet help prevent coronary artery disease and other heart diseases.
Almonds
Almonds are well known for its health benefits. The nutritional value of almonds is exceptional. Almonds are known to be rich in vitamins and minerals, a healthy nut that protects the body against heart diseases and cancer. People suffering from diabetics and high blood pressure can have almonds as they have the capacity to lower the bad cholesterol levels.
Pistachio

Pinenuts
Pine nuts are known to be calorie-rich nuts. Pine nuts like all other nuts are a rich source of Vitamin E and Vitamin B. These vitamins are extremely essential in keeping our body healthy as it reconstructs the damaged cells and purifies the blood, thus keeping our heart healthy.
Sunflower seeds
Sunflower seeds contains natural antioxidants which helps in removing harmful toxins from the body. The Chlorogenic acid that is present in this nut helps in reducing high blood sugar levels. Sunflower seeds are also incredibly rich sources of many essential minerals like calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, magnesium, selenium, and copper.
