Carb Lovers Diet

Most of the diets talk about lowering cholesterol but here is a new diet called the 'Carb Lovers Diet' which unlike others allows people to include some healthy crabs in their diet, as their presence is also needed for a healthy living.

Frances Largeman-Roth, RD, who co-authored the 'Carb Lovers Diet' says that carbs are also important for the body as it is the source of fuel. If carbs are chosen judiciously then they can make you feel full in small amount, provide energy and at the same time help in weight loss.

Resistance Starch

The 'Carb Lovers Diet' is based on the concept of resistance starch. This diet allows people to include those starch in their diet which do not lead to being absorbed by the body and raising glucose level but at the same time fills stomach making one eat less, thus, promoting weight loss. This diet, allows food like grains, brown rice, legumes, corn and bananas.

Rules Of Carb Lovers Diet

1.This diet puts utmost importance on breakfast. The breakfast should include carbs as this will be your source of energy for the day but it should come under the rule of starch resistance. This will lead to 25% more calorie burning during the day. Your breakfast should include banana oatmeal.

2.The second rule of this diet is that ¼ of your lunch should be resistance diet.

3.This diet asks people to eat less. Carbs usually keeps a person full for a long time and also helps in controlling the diet portion.

4.Thought the diet promotes eating less, it asks people to never deprive themselves. The book contains 75 recipes and has also advices to make your favourite junk food healthy.
