Beware! These Deadly Toxins Could Be Present In Your Cooking Utensils
Did you know that certain harmful substances are found in your cooking utensils?
Normally, when it comes to food, we ensure that we eat clean and include healthy foods that are free of toxins in our diets, right?
Well, did you know that the cookware or utensils we use to prepare food can also contain certain toxins that can harm our health?
Yes, it is quite ironic, because, we make a huge effort to ensure that our food is free of toxins, but then, we end up cooking food in utensils that could contain a number of harmful toxins that can cause ailments.
In fact, the chemical substances found in the modern cookware are known to cause serious disorders including ulcers, infertility, weight gain, cancer and so on.
Many of us are not aware of the fact that toxins and harmful chemicals are found in utensils and cookware, so we continue to use them on a daily basis, exposing ourselves to diseases.
So, let us see what chemicals are present in certain common cookware.
1. Aluminium Foil
The metal, aluminium is found in aluminium foil and it can be extremely harmful for the body. So, when we pack foods in aluminium foils, aluminium can get into your food and get ingested into your body. Aluminium is a toxin that can cause disorders like Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and other serious brain disorders.
2. Perfluorooctanoic Acid
Found in the non-stick variety of cookware, such as, pots and pans, this toxic acid can also get into your food during the process of preparation, and then eventually into your body, when you consume the food. This harmful acid can cause ailments like weight gain, infertility and impaired learning in kids.
3. Polytetrafluoroethylene
Yet again, polytetrafluoroethylene, is a harmful chemical found in non-stick cooking ware and teflon-based utensils. This chemical too can cause ailments like joint pain, arthritis, digestive disorders, etc., when it is ingested through the food prepared in non-stick ware. It is also a known carcinogen.
