Here Are The Solutions For Common Period Problems

A lady can face a lot of common problems when she is on her periods. Apart from body pain, many of them suffer from tender breasts, fatigue, trouble sleeping, bloated stomach, mood swings, etc.
Menstrual cramps, unpredictable periods and heavy bleeding are common types of menstrual problems that may affect a woman's daily life. Menstrual problems can even affect our fertility levels.

So, here are some of the common period problems and the solutions for them.
1. Unhealthy Food Craving:
Most of them crave for food during periods and this increases especially during the initial days of the period. When the level of hormones in the body decreases, most of them crave for sugar and chocolate. In order to keep the level of sugar stable in the body and prevent food craving, you should keep your hormonal level in check. You should consume small meals at regular intervals and also consume healthy snacks during the day. Also, consuming fruit, veggies and high-fibre foods can help to keep your sugar levels stable.
2. Headaches:
Most of them suffer from a headache during periods which is due to the release of prostaglandin hormones in the body. Prostaglandin hormones in the body not only help to treat cramps in the body but they also attack the nerves in the mind, thus leading to a headache. According to studies, it is said that women who took herbs on a regular basis had fewer bouts of headache overall.

3. Irregular Periods:
Due to hormonal imbalances and other disorders, most of the women suffer from irregular periods. Irregular periods may often affect the fertility of a woman and also decrease the chances to conceive a baby. Just like any other menstrual problems, irregular period problems can also be treated easily. In order to avoid this problem, you should workout more and exercise often.
4. Feeling Drowsy:
Most of the women feel sleepy during those days of the month and they wish if they would really get to sleep for a week. However, according to studies, it is said that women who consumed a high amount of iron-rich food had less instances of such issues. In order to prevent sleeping behaviour during periods, you should include more of leafy vegetables, lentils, beans and other iron-rich food in your diet.
5. Cramps:
Cramps is one of the common issues that a woman can suffer from while on periods. You can suffer from back pain, leg pain or stomach pain during this time. In order to combat cramps during periods, you should eat iron-rich food and keep yourself hydrated. Go for yoga and exercise, so that it helps to keep your body energetic and healthy.
6. Mood Swings:
Mood swings can be a major problem you could suffer from during periods. You might be happy at a moment while sad at another moment! Due to hormonal fluctuations between ovulatory and menstrual phases, it leads to mood swings in a person. You should include lots of calcium-rich food in the diet and also do a light workout to keep your body active and energetic.
7. Lack Of Sleep:
Most women feel like sleeping throughout the day while a few others find it really difficult to sleep during periods. Lack of sleep may further lead to fatigue and mood swings in a person and hence it is important to take rest and sleep properly on those days of months. You can make use of essential oils that can help to rejuvenate your mood and induce sleep as well. Oils such as jasmine oil, lemon oil, grapefruit essential oil, cinnamon oil, etc., can help to induce sleep in a person.

8. Acne Issues:
Most women also deal with cysts and acne during periods, which gets a lot more worse after a few days. In order to prevent an appearance of acne, it is important to follow a low glycaemic index diet. Consuming iron-rich food will also prevent an appearance of breakouts and acne on the face effectively.
