What's bronchitis? Well, it is nothing but the inflammation of bronchial tube lining. A person suffering from this condition may suffer cough and spit thick mucus.
If you are suffering from chronic bronchitis, you may need medical help. But if it is acute bronchitis, it could go away after a few days.
Some of the symptoms include cough, fatigue, fever, breathing issues, chest discomfort and mucous. What aggravates the condition? Smoking, breathing in irritants from the air, low immunity levels and acid reflux could make it tough to recover from bronchitis.
The first step to deal with bronchitis is curing the cough. Here are some remedies to cure the problem. If they don't show any improvement in a couple of days, visit a doctor.
Boil a cup of milk along with a spoon of turmeric powder. Drink it 3 times per day. The anti-inflammatory properties and expectorant effect of turmeric works.
CAUTION: But if you have ulcer or acidity or gall bladder stones or jaundice, don't try this remedy!
Add a glass of Epsom salt to your bath tub filled with warm water. Use your hands to stir it until it dissolves completely.

Get into the tub and soak yourself for half an hour. Do this two times in the week. You will find relief.
Consume a spoon of onion juice before you eat breakfast. It can help you get rid of the mucus. Onion has expectorant properties.
Boil some water and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to it. Breathe in the fumes by covering yourself with a cloth or a towel.

This is called steam therapy. Eucalyptus is antibacterial. Also, the fumes will relieve blocked airways and free up the mucus.
Before you sleep at night, boil some milk along with 3 chopped garlic cloves and drink it. Garlic is a natural antibiotic and it has antiviral agents in it.
Add a teaspoon of honey to warm water. Add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to it and mix it well. Drink it in the morning.

It can relieve congestion and reduce inflammation too. Even honey has antibacterial and antiviral properties in it.
Crush a small piece of ginger along with two cloves and a piece of cinnamon.
Mix those ingredients in some warm water and drink it in the morning for 3-4 days.
Ginger can soothe the inflammation in the bronchial tubes.
