What Does Fart Smell Mean?

Fart smells are extremely notorious. Yes, we know that awkward feeling! Some of them are so bad that they smell a room up like rotten eggs.

A fart smell has a significant meaning to it, and if you figure out why your gas smells that bad, it is probably because of the food you have eaten or the wrong method of eating and the process of swallowing too.

On the other hand, farts are indirectly an indicator that something is seriously wrong in your digestive system.

It is said that on an average, most humans fart between 10 and 20 times in a day, but sometimes much more than that, and this is invariably related to your health issues. The intestinal gas is composed of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and methane.

These above gases are generally odourless, but they become foul smelling when other gases, such as sulphates, are added on.

So, scientifically, the main reason why farts smell so bad is because when the gas remains in the intestines for an extended period of time, bacteria thrive in them, thus adding a foul-smelling sulphate to it.

The second reason that makes farts so smelly is consuming foods that are high in sulphur content like cauliflower, radish, leafy vegetables and many more.

So, read on to find out the hidden meaning behind that smelly fart:
